a build a huge wall and don't let anyone in kinda guy, but the way our country is going, it makes me a paranoid mess.
Will my children have to speak Spanish in their own country?
Will we eventually have to just accept that Hispanics will be 2-1 over all other races, and will work their way into control of all aspects of government?

I am not racist, I do not dislike Hispanics. But they way things are going, they will very soon be the majority in this country. Their voting power will soon outweigh all other races. Will we be forced to become Northern Mexico? Will all people have to learn Spanish to shop or work or order food?

America has a very rich history that does not deserved to be left behind, I am afraid that as time goes, the Hispanic culture will dominate America.

In the next 10 years, Hispanics will outnumber blacks and whites combined.

I just wanted to see what you guys thought about it;
I posted it in here because you guys know I'm not racist, just worried about America.

They sure swelled in North Carolina. People hired them in construction then bam a few got contractors licences and started under bidding alot of folks. I'm not racist either but I don't like Mariachi music. I'm more of a Pantera, Motorhead , Waylon Jennings Over Vicente Fernandez and Jorge Negrete. They have some hawt women and good food tho.

I don't know about 10 years, maybe 50 and it will be whites the minority, not hispanics the majority...just from what I've read. Whites still outnumber the rest around 5-1, it's really not close. Illegal immigrants are over exaggerated, I personally don't care the least bit about them...not worried.

In 2006, about 11.6 million U.S. households -- that's one in every 10 -- are Hispanic. This translates into a Hispanic population of about 42 million. The U.S. Census estimates that by 2020, the Hispanic population will reach 60 million -- or almost 18 percent of the total U.S. population.
In 2006, Hispanics were 1/7th of the US population.
In 40 years, the census burea estimates that all populations will be roughly equal.
Sociologists also state that Hispanics, even if they are born in America, are the most likely to hold on to traditional values.
If you do research, you will find that Hispanics also have the fastest reproduction rate, considerably higher that whites.
In the last ten years, the HIspanic population has grew in this country by over 400%

None of that is cause for concern?
Its well documented in bigger cities and close to the border, Spanish has to be learned to interact because Hispanics do not feel the need to learn to speak English.
If they wont even make an effort to try and be Americans, whats gonna happen when they are the dominant population?

That's exactly what I said in the last post man, in around 50 years maybe...They are sitting at around 40 mill like you said, but whites are at 220 mil. And around half of that 40 mil are illegals, a good percentage of the other half are American citizens that probably speak english. When it says "values" it can mean a lot of things like religion, food, traditions. The reason for the hike is the illegal immigrant spike this past decade, their kids become citizens when they have them here.

I'm just not worried about them taking my job, I don't aspire to work in tobacco fields

They just don't worry me or I just don't really see them as a threat to a future career.

You sounded incredibly racist in that post.
So Hispanics are only capable of doing hard manual labor and no able to be lawyers or doctors?
I know you aren't racist, you are one of the most bleeding heart liberals i know lol (like me), but to say they won't take your job is stereotypical, racist, and mostly naive.

And its not the jobs I am worried about, when I posted losing jobs to immigrants never crossed my mind.
Its the American culture I worry about.
I have no problems wit Hispanics being proud of their culture and expressing it; I only worry that when they become the majority, with their very strong belief in their Hispanic traditions, will they force changes in American culture?
Will I have to teach my kids Spanish to go to school?
I'm sure you remember Obama's quote, dont you?
"Instead of worrying about whether immigrants can learn English, they will learn English, you need to make sure your child speaks Spanish"
Does that not scare you in any way?
I will encourage kids to learn different languages, but not because they have to learn Spanish to survive in America, I find that totally absurd.

Will Cinco de Mayo become an American holiday? What about Mexican gangs? Mexican gangs are proven to be more violent, further spread, and more dangerous than other gangs.
Will MS13 or the Latin Kings bring in a major set to this area? Because, as its been proven, where Hispanics go, Latin gangs follow.

How all this does not upset you guys is beyond me.
